Everybody learns, everybody cares

Good Luck and Goodbye

Guess Who? Art Exhibition
After completing our portraits in art lessons, we transformed the new Forest School building into an art gallery for our Guess Who? Exhibition. Throughout the day, different classes visited to admire our fantastic artwork and try to guess who was who! What a talented group of artists we have in our class!

Fabulous Focaccia
Growing bodies need delicious fuel—and what better than fabulously tasty focaccia bread? Under Mr Wright’s guidance, we learned how to make it from scratch. We kneaded and proved the dough, prepared healthy toppings, and baked it to perfection. Afterwards, we wrote up the recipe to share at home. We hope you’ll enjoy baking some during the summer break!

Glorious Golf!
Mrs Lewis introduced us to a special PE experience: golf! We learned how to grip the putters and wedges correctly and how to position our bodies. Navigating the course was a learning curve in itself across our wonderfully spacious school field! It was a unique and exciting challenge!

Sporting Successes
Our final Sports Day at Bede was a huge success. The weather was glorious, and Class 6 showed incredible team spirit—positive, supportive and determined. It was the closest competition we’ve had in years! We were especially proud when Katelyn received the Paul Sergison Award for her outstanding contribution to sport at Bede and also the winning team cup. Thank you to all the families who we able to come and support us—you helped create a fantastic atmosphere!

Artistic Endeavours for Father’s Day
We used a variety of art techniques learned throughout Key Stage 2 to create heartfelt Father’s Day cards. Each one was filled with unique, creative designs and messages—some touching, some humorous - all made with care.

Mr H’s Camping Residential
Our camping residential was a tremendous success! From the moment we saw the inflatable assault course to the final water fight, it was a wild and wonderful adventure. Every child behaved impeccably, making the day fun, positive and memorable. From archery and tug of war to fire-pit cooking and storytelling around the campfire, it was an unforgettable experience. A huge thank you to our families for helping make it all possible and to our staff for giving up their own time freely to be there throughout.

Y6 Summer 2 24-25

Everyone at Bede wishes the very best of luck to our Year 6 leavers. You’ve been a remarkable class—full of positivity, perseverance and humour. It’s been a joy to watch you grow and get ready for your next big step. We know you’ll be amazing at secondary school!
